Do you realize, that in a burning building where people are getting beheaded by some maniac and a number of brainwashed little kids, Sharon Rainsworth sends off her chain with ADA to escape, and doesn’t leave it around for herself?

Whenever she’s using Eques, it’s for someone else. No one tells her what to do, or how to do it, because no one understands her limits and her chain’s limits better than her. She just does whatever she thinks is right and necessary. I know it’s hard to pay attention to Sharon and Eques when everything is chaos and people are worried about who is dead and who is not, but if Sharon hadn’t decided to leave her chain with Ada, there would be nothing left for Reim.

Actually, Sharon saved pretty much everyone’s life here. When they’re finally leaving that mansion, she tells them to escape using Eques, because there’s no other way out — it’s all burning anyway. Break and Sharon are then left to escape through some underground tunnel, and you’re thinking, oh well, she wasn’t alone at least! But I’d like to remind you that Break was pretty much dead and he can’t even see a thing.

So what am I trying to say? That Sharon Rainsworth, trapped in a 13 year old’s body, seen as physically weak, not capable of fighting or protecting herself, is a fucking hero.

She saved their asses in the Cheshire Cat arc as well. Sharon uses her head and is always rather level headed. In a way, she reminds me of Hermione.

I feel like Eques is one of those chains you tend to forget about because he’s usually in the background until suddenly he appears at the opportune moment, but Sharon is always aware of both her chain and the current situation.  She’s really the only one that actually has to think, 24/7, what to do with her chain.  Everyone else just summons theirs for that moment when they need it, but Sharon has to think ahead.  All the time.  So not only is she really selfless and brave, she’s also constantly thinking strategically about other people’s safety.
